Armstrong Farms asked the local high school students to help them design a corn maze for the fall. My students put their heads together and came up with some very creative ideas. Mrs. Henderson, the art teacher, sent a huge pile of drawings into be judged. Dr. Brad Rice, Tory Mabe and Jessica Armstrong picked the winners. North Stokes took home two of the awards. They are as follows:
Mr. Spencer the auto tech teacher asked me if the digital photography class could design a t-shirt for his students to wear when they visit the motor speedway each year. We held a contest among my 2nd period class and Mr. Spencer picked the winners.

The Visual Art Department would like to congratulate Grace Byerly on winning an honorable mention for her photograph entitled, "Flipper" and a Gold Key for her photograph called, "Wagon Wheel" in the Scholastic Art Awards Contest organized by Barton College.
